The biggest attraction of the Weslo Cadence DS11 is its price.
It is one of the lowest priced treadmills in the market today. However, Weslo has a reputation for using cheap parts on their machines so don’t expect too much from this unit.
If a low priced treadmill is what you’re looking for, then this treadmill might be the one for your. It has a price tag of a little less than $300. But due to its poor quality, I don't expect it to be useful for very long. (See our best recommended treadmill page if you're looking for alternatives)
The Weslo Cadence DS11 treadmill offers a 2.0 HP motor. This motor is good enough for walking but not strong enough for running. It would let you reach speeds of up to 10mph, but I wouldn’t recommend reaching this top speed because of its low quality.
Update: This treadmill has been discontinued. |
It comes with a 16-inch x 45-inch tread belt. This space would be fine for those who love to walk but I don’t think runners would be comfortable working out on it.
The Step-by-Step™ Feedback Console lets you easily keep track of all your vital data. It shows your speed, time, distance and calories burned.
The Weslo Cadence DS11 treadmill has a 4 position manual incline (3%, 5%, 7% & 9%). It provides adjustments that lock in place for stability and consistency.
The Space Saver® Technology allows you to fold-up the treadmill after use so it doesn’t take up extra room. This feature is perfect for those with limited spaces at home
This treadmill lacks the quality and the belt size. But that is something to expect from a treadmill below $300. You'll always get what you pay for.
One more thing, compared to other treadmills in the Weslo lineup, this is one of their best treadmills (next only to the Weslo Cadence C62 treadmill) in providing value.
I don’t recommend the Weslo Cadence DS11 treadmill. It will not last very long. You’ll be better off buying other entry level treadmills using our best treadmills page.
Also, if you're a serious runner, I suggest you don't settle for anything less than a $1,500 treadmill (I recommend the Smooth 7.1HR). It will actually save you more money in the long run since you'll have to repair/replace parts of an entry level treadmill frequently.
