Update: This treadmill has been discontinued. |
The Tunturi T80 treadmill features the patented Position Speed Control (PSC) which allows you to adjust the speed of your run hands-free.
And like others in the T-series, this machine was built for light commercial use.
This treadmill is perfect for hardcore runners. If you’re an athlete or just someone who runs religiously, then this might be the best treadmill for you. You’re sure to get the most out of your workouts with its numerous features.
However, with a price tag of $3,000, I don't think most people can afford it. So if this model is beyond your budget, I suggest you visit our best buy treadmills page and choose the best treadmill for your budget.
The T80 comes with a 2.5HP continuous duty motor. It can be elevated for up to 10%. And unlike most treadmills, this one has a max speed of 12.5mph to give you more intensity in your exercise.
Like I’ve said above, this treadmill comes with PSC feature. It allows you to control your training speed without touching the meter. It measures your position on the running track based on the HR transmitter belt’s signal. When you are in the front part of the belt, the speed will increase, in the rear part the speed will decrease, and in the middle, an adjustable zone is reserved for constant speed.
The PSC can be used in manual training, condition tests, the 3 heart rate controlled programs and in all 8 intensity/time scaleable pre-set profiles this treadmill boasts.
The Tunturi T80 treadmill has a 20" x 56" tread belt. I must admit, this tread belt is a little small compared to others in this price range. So be sure to also check out other best buy treadmills in this price range.
The console contains the information center display which
combines the graphic profile display and the scrolling training
feedback. You’ll also see your time, distance, speed, elevation, energy
consumption, and heart rate so you'll always know all your workout
information.

This treadmill's small tread belt (for its price range) and heavy price tag are both weaknesses Tunturi needs to improve upon if they want this unit to be noticed.
If you have a lot of money to spare for a treadmill, I don’t think you should spend it to buy this model. I believe there are other treadmills out there that would give you more features and better specs for your money. So to conclude, I don’t recommend the Tunturi T80 treadmill.
If you really want a light commercial treadmill, I suggest you visit our Landice L7 Pro review. It is currently one of our best buy treadmills above $3,000.
