The Smooth 5.15P treadmill is one of the best, if not the best, entry treadmill in the market right now. It is replacement for the now discontinued Smooth 5.0P model.

This treadmill is almost identical to the Smooth 5.0P but with improved features. Smooth included to this machine most of what the previous unit lacked including a heart rate monitor, a more advance display panel and a longer running deck. Best of all, it is still being sold for the price of the old model which means you'll get all the added features for no extra charge.

Is This for You?

This treadmill is perfect for those who are on a limited budget but would still want a quality treadmill. This would be most fitting to soft runners and joggers alike.

However, if you are a hardcore runner then I suggest you choose a treadmill in the $1,500 or above price range. May I suggest the Smooth 7.1HR. It is currently our best mid-priced treadmill.

What You’ll Get

The Smooth 5.15P treadmill comes with a powerful 2.5HP continuous motor, which is quite impressive for an entry level. This motor gives you speeds of 0.6 to 10 MPH and a 0 to 12% power elevation.

The convenient speed and incline control located on the side rails is a unique feature not normally found in entry level models. It allows for easier adjustment which is especially useful when maintaining a fast pace.

The generously large and easy to read LCD window displays your speed, distance, calories, incline, time, interval time, pulse and program to help you keep track of your workout. And, the 7 challenging pre-programmed workouts are designed to give you more variety and flexibility in your exercise.

Its 53” x 18” cushioned deck and the non-slip, whisper quiet tread belt make sure that you get the most comfortable workouts everytime. While the shock absorption deck lowers impact and reduces stress on joints and back for a more injury-free run.

Unlike the discontinued model, this unit comes with a handrail grip pulse monitor. This feature is perfect for those who love to do heart rate exercises.

And finally, it offers a lifetime warranty on frames, 10 years on motor, 2 years on parts and a year on service/labor. The warranty alone proves that this product is of good quality since the manufacturer was so confident in giving such long assurance.

What Users Didn’t Like

There might be times that the Smooth 5.15P treadmill would run out of stock. When this happen, expect some delivery delays. So if you're going to buy one, buy now! Or else, you might have to wait for the next batch of models, which could take months.

Also, although the price already includes shipping costs, you would be charged extra for the indoor delivery and set-up.

Recommendation

All in all, I would recommend the Smooth 5.15P treadmill for its value, features and warranties. If you want an entry level treadmill, this model is definitely a good choice.
