The Schwinn 835p treadmill is an ordinary mid-priced machine from Schwinn.

When compared to the Schwinn 820p, you’ll notice that this model has less features and a more expensive price tag.

Is It Right for You?

If you’re looking for a treadmill with a long motor warranty, then this is the unit for you. It currently has one of the best motor warranties for a mid-priced treadmill. But other than the motor warranty, everything else is just average.

Features and Benefits

Just like the cheaper 820p, this one also comes with a 2.0HP continuous duty motor that has a speed range of 0.5-10mph. But surprisingly, the 835p can only be inclined by up to 12%. (the cheaper 820p has a max incline of 15%)

Another unexpected feature for this unit is its 8 workout programs (6 preset and 2 user-defined). The cheaper model once again boasts better attributes with 10 workout programs which include 2 heart rate programs to cater those who love to heart rate exercises.

And finally, as I’ve mentioned above, this unit also has one of the best motor warranty for its price range. It brags a 30 year motor warranty. Other warranties include, 30 years for frames, 2 years for parts and electronics, and 1 year for parts and wear items.

Weakness

The quality is its biggest weakness. Most of its parts came or were manufactured from abroad which is the reason for its poor quality. Also, it comes with fewer features compared to the cheaper Schwinn.

Recommendation

It’s a no brainer that you’d be better off buying the Schwinn 820p, since you’ll get way better features for a much cheaper price tag. So to conclude, I don’t recommend the Schwinn 835p treadmill.

However, if you really want a high quality mid-priced treadmill, then you should also check out the Sole S77. It is currently our best buy treadmill below $2,000.
