Proform 730 Treadmill Review

Proform 730 Treadmill

Update: This treadmill has been discontinued.

As an alternative you might want to check out our best buy treadmills page to look for similar treadmills. or Checkout other ProForm Treadmills.

The Proform 730 treadmill is a pretty looking machine with good cushioning.

But just like other Proform models, it comes with a short warranty due to some cheap internal parts.

Is This the Best Treadmill for You?

This treadmill would fit people who are on a tight budget. Proform is known for making entry level treadmills and this model is one of them. However, always remember that you get what you pay for so don’t expect much from this unit.

Features and Benefits

The Proform 730 offers a decent 2.0 CHP motor. This motor is good enough for joggers but not strong enough for serious runners. It could sustain speeds of up to 10mph, but I don’t recommend maximizing its capabilities because of its low quality.

The 20” x 55” tread belt comes with ProShox™ impact absorption system. It is an air based cushioning that reduces potential strain and increases comfort.

It also has a One-touch QuickSpeed control so you can instantly jump to any speed from 0-10mph without the need of holding down buttons and a power incline control for quick elevation adjustments to increase or decrease the intensity level of your workouts.

What’s more, the Proform 730 treadmill gives you 5 large LED windows displaying your speed, pulse, time, distance, incline, pace and calories burned so you can always keep track of your progress.

The 8 built-in workouts (6 smart, 2 pre-programmed) give you more variety to choose from. Or, if you want, you can simply grip the EKG heart rate monitor and workout in your target heart zone for optimum training efficiency.

And finally, the built-in two-speed CoolAir™ workout fan creates currents of 4-6 mph, the ideal range for body cooling. It keeps you cool especially during those long, grueling workouts.

Weaknesses

Proform used cheap internal parts in manufacturing most of their treadmills, including this one. This is the reason why they are only offering short warranties.

Recommendation:

I don’t recommend the Proform 730 treadmill because of its lack of quality. You'd be better off spending your money to buy other models. Visit our best buy treadmills page.
