The HealthTrainer 901 treadmill is the biggest and most powerful machine in the Healthtrainer series.

However, it is also the most expensive of them all, and with a price tag of nearly $2,000, I don’t think a lot of people can afford it.

Is It for You?

If you’re a hardcore runner looking for a treadmill that has both the power and features to give you an intense workout, then this might be the one for you. But before you buy, be sure to check your budget to be certain that you can afford it.

Features and Benefits

This treadmill has a 3.0HP continuous duty motor. This is the biggest and most powerful motor being offered by HealthTrainer. It can reach a max speed of 10mph and has a max incline of 12%. So it doesn’t matter whether you’re a beginner or an advance runner, this model can provide you an intense workout.

The 20” x 61” running surface is another best in the series. However, since orthopedic belts are softer than ordinary belts, that is what they used for this machine. But the problem with ortho belts is that it causes more wear and tear that leads to tons of repair bills in the future.

The 4 preset, 8 custom, and 2 user programs give you more workout variety to choose from. Also, if you want to exercise in your target heart rate zone, this unit also allows that through the use of its EKG pulse grip, heart rate chest strap and built-in heart rate program.

And last but not least, you’ll still be getting the classic 10 year motor warranty Keys (the owner and manufacturer of Alliance as well as other treadmill brands) brands are known for. Other warranties include a lifetime frame warranty, a 2 year parts warranty and a 1 year labor warranty.

Weakness

The ortho belt is definitely a weakness. Add to this the fact that the quality of most HealthTrainer machines are below average and you’ll get several repair bills after the warranty.

Recommendation

I don’t recommend the HealthTrainer 901 treadmill. Ortho belt combined with below average quality would result to headaches in the future.
