I purchased this unit in July '08. I am 80 years old and use the machine for 35 to 45 minutes a day, five days a week, usually. I am the only user. For three of the four years we have owned the machine, we were out of town for at least three months.
I now find the belt is shredding on the edge, especially where the two ends join.
I submit that a one year warranty is insufficient on what should be the 2nd most durable part of the machine, the motor being the most durable.
Unfortunately, I recommended this machine to another party. I certainly hope theirs is holding up better than mine.
Check and compare Treadmills here before you buy any.
