The Evo FX30 treadmill is one of the bigger and more powerful mid-priced treadmills in the market today.
Compared to the cheaper Evo FX20-HR, this is a much wiser choice for runners with its bigger frame and more powerful motor.
If you’re looking for a huge mid-priced treadmill with wide running surface, good stability and great cushioning, then this is the model for you. Plus, it is equipped with the patented motion control feature and swing arm cushioning which makes this model even more appealing.
The Evo FX30 treadmill boasts the motion control feature. It lets you adjust the speed of your run by waving your hand over light sensors on the handrail. This is perfect for hardcore runners who usually runs on a fast pace as it won’t require you to uncomfortably lean and reach forward while in motion, just to change your speed.
This machine also comes with a 2.75 HP continuous duty motor which is pretty good considering its price tag. This motor has a speed range of 0.5-10mph and incline level of 0-15.
The 20” x 54” running surface is long and wide to give you more space to be comfortable during your workout. Plus, you’ll get the Swing Arm frame cushioning system which reduces harmful impact on your joints, ankle and knees for maximum protection.
The 1/4 mile running track, 3 pre-set programs with 12 intensity levels each, and the 3 custom courses give you more variety and flexibility you’ll need to get results. And if you like to workout in your target heart rate zone for a more efficient exercise, this machine also allows it through the handrail grip pulse monitor and the optional wireless heart rate control.
Other features include non-slip large rollers to extend the life of the belt, deck and roller bearings, a textured whisper weave belt to minimize noise, and shock-assisted manual fold with four-wheel castor system for easy movement and storage.
And finally, like other Evo treadmills this 2006, this one also comes with generous warranties. It boasts lifetime warranties for frame and motor, 5 years for parts, and a year for labor/in-home service.
Other than the fit and finish setback of most Evo models, this machine would have been better if it is an HRC(heart rate control) treadmill. But overall, this model is still worth buying.
I would recommend the Evo FX30 treadmill for the feature, power, and value it provides. However, if you’re looking for an HRC model then I suggest you check out the Evo FX40-HR. It is currently the best treadmill in the Evo lineup this 2006.
