The Evo 3i treadmill is the biggest, most stable, as well as most expensive treadmill in the Evo lineup. This unit is so huge and powerful that it can be used at light commercial (non health club) settings.
If power and size are what you’re looking for, then this treadmill is a good choice. With its heavy weight, wide running surface and huge motor, this machine is a perfect fit for hardcore runners. Add to this the fact that it comes with motion control feature, and this model becomes even more appealing.
As I’ve mentioned above, this treadmill comes with the motion control feature. This feature lets you adjust the speed of your run by waving your hand over light sensors on the handrail. This is perfect for hardcore runners who usually run on a fast pace as it won’t require them to uncomfortably lean and reach forward while running, just to change their speed.
The Evo 3i treadmill comes with a 3.0HP continuous duty motor which has a max speed of 12mph and comes with 15 levels of incline so it doesn’t matter whether you’re a beginner or an advance runner, this machine can give you the intense workout you need. Plus, it also comes with a 20” x 62” tread belt. So expect to get both comfort and power with every exercise.
Another feature this treadmill boasts is its numerous pre-programmed workouts. It has a total of 36 challenging pre-set workouts to give you the variety and flexibility you need to reach your goals. While the Swing Arm frame cushioning system reduces harmful impact to avoid injuries that can halt your progress.
The new extra large 3" LED console displays your speed, time, distance, pace, calories burned, heart rate, and 1/4-mile running track so you’ll always know all important information regarding your run.
Other features include non-slip large 2.5” crowned rollers with double ball bearings to extend the life of the belt, deck and roller bearings, a whisper weave 4-ply commercial belt for long term endurance and noise reduction, an accessory rack to conveniently put your water or sports bottles, and oversized buttons for easy adjustment.
And finally, this treadmill comes with excellent residential warranties. All parts are covered for a lifetime including the frame, electronics and wear parts. While labor/service charges is free for up to 1 year from the date of purchase. Its light commercial warranties include 3 years for parts and a year for labor.
One of the biggest weaknesses of this light commercial Evo is its value. It is a bit overpriced considering what it offers. Also, although listed price already includes shipping, you would be charged extra for the indoor delivery and set-up. And since this is a large machine, you might be forced to avail of this extra.
To conclude, I don’t recommend the Evo 3i treadmill. Evo is not really known for light commercial treadmills. If you really want a heavy duty treadmill, I suggest you buy from either Landice or Precor. And if you can afford it, a Woodway is another excellent option.
