Update: This brand has been discontinued
Alliance treadmills are owned by Keys Fitness. Keys has a reputation for making treadmills with poor finish quality. However with the Alliance brand, there are some noticeable improvements.
This brand is perfect for those looking for a decent mid-priced treadmill. They may not have the best features or specs but their motor warranty is definitely hard to beat. So if you think this brand is for you, then please feel free to read this whole review.
As I’ve mentioned above, Alliance is a brand owned by Keys Fitness, a company located in Garland, Texas. They’ve only started producing treadmills in 1997, but they have been in the fitness industry for some time now selling dumbbells and other strength training products.
All their manufacturing jobs are done in the U.S. but in order to stay competitive, they import most of their component parts overseas. As a result, some of their previous machines have had some quality issues.
At present, Keys Fitness owns at least 6 treadmill brands with each of them catering for different needs and budgets. These brands include HealthTrainer, Encore, and Ironman just to name a few.
Alliance treadmills are mostly mid-priced. But they also have some entry level equipment. Their price ranges from as low as $900 up to as high as $2,000.
Like most brands from Keys Fitness, the biggest weakness of these treadmills is their quality. Other than that, they are pretty decent.
Compared to other Keys Fitness brands, this brand is a much better choice in terms of quality. But I believe some improvements are still needed for it to really be noticed in the highly competitive mid-priced range category. So to conclude, if you think you can take good care of it, then Alliance treadmills would be a good buy for you.
